Exhibition: Facts of Matter

A Clay Matters Collective exhibition

Linden New Art and Climarte are proud to present Facts of Matter, a group exhibition by Melbourne art collective Clay Matters.

Curated by Cinda Manins, Facts of Matter showcases the creative, practical, and emotional responses of ten artist-activists whose ceramic-based work advocates for sustainable action against climate change and environmental damage.

Formed online during the 2020 lockdowns, Clay Matters rallies together the distinct and diverse practices of leading clay-based artists whose voices unite under a common goal: to incite positive action amongst artists and audiences alike towards carbon reduction through the development of ecologically ethical approaches to ceramic studio practice.

Exhibiting Artists: Pattie Beerens, Amanda Bromfield, Amelia Black, Claire Ellis, Lene Kuhl Jakobsen, Jane Sawyer, Cinda Manins, Vicki Grima, Madeleine Thornton Smith, and Elnaz Nourizadeh.
